Chester le Street Health Limited was created to enhance the delivery of health and care services to our local population. We are made up of 7 General Practices in membership and therefore cover approximately 50,000 people who live in Chester le Street and the surrounding districts.
The Company has a Board of Directors composed of experienced GPs from within the local practices as well as experienced practice managers.
We believe that community based services which are high quality, consistent and joined up must be the solution to many of the pressures on today’s NHS and that General Practice is ideally placed to lead this community based provision.
We also believe that by coming together in our Federation we can better develop skills and consistency not traditionally available in General Practice to deliver vastly improved services to our community.
I am currently a Practice Manager in Chester le Street and became a director as I am passionate about ensuring Chester le Street and the surrounding area, gets the top class health services that the area’s residents deserve.
Living in close to the centre of Chester le Street, I feel it is important I support the local community, so in addition to my work as a Director, I am also the chair of governors at a local school and spend the rest of my spare time with my two young children.
